William L. "Bill" Mosier, 85, a lifelong resident of Main Street, Kersey, passed away on Thursday July 17, 2025, following a lengthy illness.
He was born on March 21, 1940 in Kersey, a son of the late Thomas and Annabelle Wildnauer Mosier.
On November 13, 1963, he married the late Elizabeth "Betty" McMackin Mosier, who preceded him in death on December 26, 2017. Together they were blessed with more than 54 years of marriage.
Bill was a graduate of Kersey High School and member of St. Boniface Church. He served in the U.S. Army from 1963-1965. He retired from Fox Township after many years as the Roadmaster and also served as a Fox Township Supervisor. Very mechanically inclined, Bill could often be found working in the garage on a vehicle, or tinkering with a motor. He loved the outdoors, and always enjoyed time spent hunting in the woods. Over the years, he enjoyed helping others with his backhoe and running the sawmill with his brother. Most of all, he loved his family and looked forward to spending time at camp with his beloved wife.
Bill is survived by three daughters, Patty (Bruce) Gabor of Kersey, Debi (Charlie) Schatz of St. Marys and Renee (Jesse) Safran of Cornwall, VT, by two sons, Andrew (Colette) Mosier of Kersey and Ronald (Rhonda) Mosier of Weedville, by sixteen grandchildren, Steven, Emma, Sarah, William, Kari, Shelbie, Jenna, Jacob, Abigail, Zachary, Olivia, Lillian, Lauren, Logan, Sydney and Madelyn, and by one great-granddaughter, Austyn. He is also survived by a daughter-in-law; Laura Mosier of State College, by two siblings; Ken (Elaine) Mosier of Kersey and Kathy Frederick of Emporium, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his son; David Mosier, a daughter; Lorrie Ann Mosier, by a brother; Thomas Mosier.
A Mass of Christian Burial for William L. "Bill" Mosier will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at St. Boniface Church, 355 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846 with Fr. Kevin Holland, Pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Krise Funeral Home in Kersey on Monday, July 21, 2025 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.
