William "Bill" Barnett

On July 25, 2026, William P. Barnett ran into the loving embrace of his Savior, Jesus Christ, and found his eternal home. Leaving behind a legacy of love and faith.

He was born on February 2, 1949, in Ridgway, the son of the late Presley and Doris Wolfred Barnett.

On December 28, 1968, in Ridgway, he married Sharon Gardner, who survives.

Bill will be remembered as a kind and easygoing man who found happiness in life's simple pleasures. Whether he had a guitar in his hands, was spending a quiet day hunting or fishing with his family, or was settled in to watch a NASCAR race, he appreciated every moment. More than any hobby or pastime, Bill treasured the time he shared with those he loved.

In addition to his loving wife of 57 years, he is survived by 6 children; Alan (Natalie) Barnett of Lucasville, OH, Christine Blauser of Ridgway, Thomas (Scarlett) Barnett of Ridgway, Tammy Barnett of Ridgway, Raymond (Anissa) Barnett of St. Marys, and Emily (Eric) Keister of Brockport, 9 grandchildren; Dustin, Michaela, Issac, Gabriel, Garret, Nolan, Isabella, Alex, Ainslee, and one great granddaughter, Mila.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Taylor Barnett, and a sister, Donna Gnan.

Funeral Services for William P. Barnett will be held privately by the family.
