Vonalee Allegretto

Vonalee Dorothy Allegretto, beloved wife, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, age 95, of Ridgway, PA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at Pinecrest Manor in St. Marys, PA surrounded by the love of her daughter and son-in-law. 

Born on November 24, 1930, in Danville, PA, Vonalee was the daughter of the late Luther Walters and Christine Walters Lawrence, and the step-daughter of the late Chas Lawrence. She graduated from Sunbury High School in 1949 and had been a resident of the Ridgway and Rasselas area since 1951. Vonalee was employed by IPM & Clarion Sintered Metals for 39 years where she met her beloved soulmate, best friend, and husband, Louie. She was a devoted member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ridgway.

Vonalee was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Allegretto, whom she married in 1981; he passed away on January 16, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her parents; her step-father; her son, David Dorley; her grandson, Timothy John Brown whom she treasured; and a niece, Jill Mertz.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Colleen (John) Brown of Ridgway, PA; and by five cherished grandchildren, Geri Kern of Tomball, TX; Rebecca (Tony) Griffin of Harrisburg, PA; Michael Dorley of Ridgway, PA; Suzanne (Mark) DiVincent of North Haledon, NJ; and Matthew Dorley of Ridgway, PA.

Vonalee is also survived by ten adored great-grandchildren, Alex Vantassal; Emma Griffin; Haven Kern; Peyton Dorley; Olivia Griffin; David Dorley; Gage Dorley; Dominick DiVincent; Tyson Griffin; and Frankie DiVincent; as well as two great-great-grandchildren, Atlas Nichols and Chezni Dorley.

She is additionally survived by her brother, Ned Lawrence of Sunbury, PA; her sister, Jean Schindler of Danville, PA; and two nieces, Lynn Schindler and Christine (Randy) Gill.

Vonalee, fondly known as Little Gram, will be remembered dearly by her family and friends for her genuine spirit, her warm smile, her laughter, her wit, and the boundless love she poured into her family. She will be forever missed by all who loved her. 

A Funeral Service for Vonalee D. Allegretto will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, PA, 15853, with Pastor Erik Hart officiating. 

Burial will follow at Oakmont Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Saturday at Krise Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
