It is with unimaginable heartbreak that we share that Todd Greiner passed suddenly on May 30, 2026, at the Penn Highlands Dubois Hospital surrounded by his family.
Todd was born November 28, 1950, in Ridgway, PA. He is the son of the late Hon. Paul B and Rebecca (Klawuhn) Greiner.
He was the kind of person everyone hopes to have in their life, the one who showed up without hesitation, who helped without being asked, and who made people feel safe, loved, and cared for. Whether you needed a hand, a laugh, a listening ear, or someone standing beside you during hard times, he was there.
He loved deeply and wholeheartedly. As a husband, he was devoted, steady, and loving. Married to his high school sweetheart, Debby (Auman), they shared many adventures throughout their nearly 58 years together. They traveled with their scuba diving group to Australia, Hawaii, Bonaire, and throughout the Caribbean. They also enjoyed hiking and biking close to home and wherever they traveled, especially during their annual visits to Venice, FL.
As a dad and grandpa, he was everything-our protector, our biggest supporter, our safe place, our teacher, and our hero. He brought joy, laughter, and unconditional love, creating memories that will be treasured forever by us all.
Todd lived nearly all his 75 years in Ridgway, PA, where he raised his family and made many friends. He was an active and dedicated member of the community. As a life member of the Ridgway Elks Lodge # 872, he spent countless hours fundraising for those in need, local organizations, and the Ridgway schools. He also volunteered his time at the Ridgway YMCA as a member of the board for many years. He loved his community and gave so much of himself to others, never looking for recognition, only wanting to help.
Todd was a well-respected journeyman machinist at O-I Brockway Glass Inc. for 37 years, where he retired in 2013. Not one to sit still, he later came out of retirement to work part-time at Intech P/M Stainless in Ridgway for more than 5 years.
He was fun, outgoing, full of life, and could make anyone smile. He never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel like family.
The truth is, there are no words big enough for this loss. The silence he leaves behind feels unbearable. We already miss the little things-the sound of his voice, the way he walked through the door, the jokes, the hugs, the comfort of simply knowing he was there. If love alone could have kept him here, he would have stayed forever.
While our hearts ache beyond measure, we know his love did not end here. We will carry him with us-in every lesson he taught, every laugh we share, every act of kindness we give, and every moment we hold our family close. To know him was to love him. To be loved by him was one of life's greatest gifts.
He is survived by his loving wife Debby (Auman) of more than 56 years, daughter Julie Collins of Mechanicsburg (Tom Collins), Jodi Guisto of Emporium (Phil Brown), 5 grandchildren: Brennan Guisto (fiancée Jess), Nathan Collins (fiancée Kaitlyn), Dylan Guisto, Noah Collins (wife Delaney), Kate Collins. He is also survived by siblings: Paula Lutz (Tom Lutz), Emyla "Denny' Rodriguez (Ronnie), Greta Weber (Steve), Fritz Greiner (Cheryl), Brent Greiner (Anna). He was preceded death by his brother Kurt Greiner (Laurel).
Although Todd did not wish to have public service, anyone wishing to honor him are encouraged to make donations in his memory to either the Ridgway Elks Lodge or the Ridgway YMCA in lieu of flowers. The family wishes to thank his medical providers, especially Dr. James Rixey, and his nurses Gage and Ashley, at Penn Highlands Dubois CVICU for their care and compassion for Todd and his family.
