Timothy J. "Timmy" Hetrick, 19, beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Indiana, PA.
He was born on December 28, 2005 in St. Marys, PA, a son of James C. and Stephanie A. Hetrick, who survive of St. Marys.
Timmy was a 2024 graduate of Elk County Catholic High School and was looking forward to becoming an apprentice and working alongside his dad at Dave Kronenwetter Electric. Timmy was just beginning to carve his own path and was known for his sweet disposition, sensitivity, and an unwavering ability to think of others first. He worked at Wildwilds Bar and Grill throughout high school, a job he enjoyed and made many friends. With much hard work and dedication, Timmy proudly received his Eagle Scout award.
Timmy was deeply devoted to learning, always eager to explore the world around him. He enjoyed reading, and a recent trip to Italy ignited his passion for travel, allowing him to experience the beauty, culture, and specialty drinks of a new place, taking in every piece of information the tour guides offered while on his trip. Funny in his own way, he enjoyed playing video games and lover super cars, such as a Ferrari. Most of all, he adored his three dogs, who provided constant companionship to him, Bella, Beana, and Basil. With an easy going attitude, and kindness for everyone he met, Tim will be sorely missed by all who knew him. His quiet smile and gentle spirit touched the hearts of everyone who knew him.
In addition to his parents who adored him, Timmy is the cherished brother of Josephine Hetrick of St. Marys, the beloved grandson of Chris and Pam Schaefer, RayeAnn Cribbs, and honorary grandson of Fred and Sue Mahaney, all of St. Marys. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including his best friend; Landon Snyder of St. Marys.
To honor and remember Tim's life, a Memorial Service will be held at The Red Fern, 421 Old Kersey Road, Kersey, PA 15846 on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
Family and friends are invited to greet the family at The Red Fern on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 9:30 AM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his honor to a local charity that helps animals.
Your light will forever shine in our hearts, Timmy.
