Thomas W. Stauffer
, 93, of 410 Simons Street, St. Marys, went home peacefully to the Lord on March 15, 2022, surrounded by his family.
He was born on January 30, 1929 in St. Marys, a son of the late Raymond and Caroline Krellner Stauffer.
On September 5, 1953 in St. Marys, he married Agnes Louise Gerber Stauffer, who survives. Together they shared more than 68 years of love and marriage.
Tom was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of the Queen of the World Church, he served as a Eucharistic Minister and Daily Altar Server for many years. He was also a Benedictine Oblate. Tom retired from Keystone Carbon Company after 46 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a surveyor in the field artillery headquarters battery during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and doing puzzles. Tom was also a 20- gallon blood donor.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Lorrie Kriegisch, Sue Stauffer, and Nancy Stauffer, all of St. Marys. He is also survived by a sister, Martha Herbstritt, and a brother, Robert Stauffer, both of St. Marys.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a son, John, in infancy, and a brother, Raymond Stauffer.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Thomas W. Stauffer will be celebrated on Friday, March 18, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Rev. Jeffery Noble, Pastor, Officiating.
Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen’s Burial Detail.
Burial will follow at the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Queen of the World Church or Penn Highlands Community Nurses.
