Thomas Bush

Thomas W. "Tom" Bush, 68, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville following a brief illness.

He was born on March 11, 1957 in Ridgway, a son of the late William and Shirley Anderson Bush.

On December 24, 1999, he married the love of his life, Ann Cunningham Butterfuss Bush, who survives. Together they shared a lifetime of love and laughter.

Tom was a lifelong resident of the area and graduate of Ridgway High School. With a great love for the outdoors, Tom made his living in the logging industry, with many years of hard work spent in the woods. Tom had a great passion for racing, and could be found on many summer nights at the racetrack. He was a proud member of the National Hot Rod Association, and many will remember Tom for his lifted Ford trucks over the years, which he enjoyed customizing and kept in mint condition. He had many friends, who were very good to him in his final days.  

In addition to his wife, Ann, he is survived by two children; Brandy Bush of St. Marys and Brian Bush of Pittsburgh, by two step-daughters; Danielle Butterfuss (Joe Emmert) of St. Marys and Amy Butterfuss (Ryan) of North Carolina and by one grandson; Evan Richards. He is also survived by one sister; Kris (James) Redmond of Bend, OR, a special aunt; Jo Barrett of Meadville, by several nieces and by his beloved dog, Cooper.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother in infancy; Todd Bush.

A Memorial Service for Thomas W. Bush will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home.

Family and friends will be received at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Friday, July 18, 2025 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.

Interment will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
