Robert R. Lindberg

Robert "Boomer" Lindberg, 75, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. In his final days he was surrounded by the love of his family and friends.

He was born on December 5, 1950, in DuBois, the son of the late Carl E. and Anne Rice Lindberg.

Boo was a loving family member, a loyal friend, and a man who found some of life's greatest joys in the outdoors and in the company of good friends and family. Many of his favorite memories were made at camp hunting and fishing with friends, cutting firewood and shooting guns. He enjoyed being around the people he cared most about. He was also a devoted Penn State fan and enjoyed cheering on the Nittany Lions.  For more than two decades he was a volunteer fire fighter. 

Though he is no longer with us, the memories he made and the friendships he built will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

He is survived by 2 brothers; Edward Lindberg and Dennis Lindberg of Ridgway, nieces and nephews; Jay (Nikki) Lindberg, Denna (Chris) Shilk, Tracey Dom, Chris Lindberg, and Jon Lindberg. He also leaves behind his special friends, Dodie Black, Ed Shrefler, and Mike Shrefler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Rayetta Lindberg.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Robert E. Lindberg will be celebrated on Thursday, October 8, 2026, at  11:00 AM at St. Leo Magnus Church, 111 Depot Street, Ridgway, PA 15853, with Fr. Justin Pino officiating.

Burial will be at St. Leo Catholic Cemetery.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday at St. Leo Magnus Church from 10:00 AM- until the time of service.
