Preston D. Miller

Preston D. Miller, 52, of Ridgway, passed away on Tuesday June 23, 2026, in Ridgway, PA, following a lengthy illness.

He was born on October 18, 1973 in St. Marys, PA, a son of the late David Miller and Heidi Smith Slottje, who survives of Pahrump, NV.

Preston will be remembered as a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures and the people he loved most. He enjoyed spending time fishing, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and could often be found in the kitchen preparing a meal to share with family and friends. His greatest happiness came from being with his grandchildren, who brought endless pride and laughter to his life. He also shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Lucy, who was never far from his side. Known for his playful sense of humor, Preston loved pulling harmless pranks and making those around him laugh. Above all, he treasured his friends and family, and enjoyed time spent with them.

In addition to his mother, Heidi (Jan) Slottje, he is survived by one daughter; Aubrean (Tim) Close, of Ridgway; and by his five grandchildren; Kianna, Thalia, Elijah, Eva and Enzo. He is also survived by one brother; Isaac (Susan) Smith of St. Marys, by two close friends; Shawn Steffan and Jeff Yates, and by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his father, Preston was preceded in death by a son; Seth Miller. His maternal grandparents; Phyllis and Leroy Smith, his paternal grandparent; Lawrence and Sophie Miller, and by a special aunt; Gretchen Rhoads.

A Memorial Service for Preston D. Miller will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridway, PA 15853 with Philip McKay officiating. 

Family and Friends will be received on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at the Krise Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
