Patricia A. Smith

Patricia A. Smith, 77, passed away at Embassy of Hearthside in State College on Saturday, February 28, 2026 following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on June 8, 1948 in Kane, PA, a daughter of the late Elwood and Mary Ricigliano Allen.

Patricia was a graduate of Rahway High School in Rahway, NJ. She worked as a care aid for the Community Nurses and also worked at the St. Marys Box Company, where she enjoyed the friends she made over the years.

In her free time, Patricia loved crafting. She was also a lover of the outdoors, where she enjoyed camping and going hiking. Patricia had a great sense of humor and loved a good joke. Her grandchildren will fondly remember her for the pranks she would play, always enjoying keeping them on their toes and getting a good laugh out of them.

Patricia is survived by four daughters; Terry Rice of St. Marys, Stacy (Ed) Snelick of Johnsonburg, Raney (Bruce Detsch) Jones of Kersey, and Carrie (Glenn) Carnahan of St. Marys, her ten beloved grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters; Bonnie Allen of Ridgway, Starr Julio of SC, Kelli (Eugene) Perrine of Ridgway, and Amanda Allen of NJ, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service for Patricia A. Smith will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home.

Family and friends will be received at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the time of service.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the Hahne Cancer Center in Dubois, PA or to the American Heart Association.
