Nancy J. Trumbull

Nancy J. Trumbull, 86, formally of Ridgway, died on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Christ the King Assisted Living following a brief illness.

She was born on January 16, 1940, in Ridgway, a daughter of the late Harry and Ada Ruth Merritt.

Nancy shared 58 wonderful years with her husband, Robert Trumbull, he preceded her in death in 2015.

Nancy found great joy in the simple things that made a house feel like home. She loved to bake and was always happy to share something homemade with family and friends. Nancy truly enjoyed having company and looked forward to visits from her family, cherishing the time spent together around her home. She also loved decorating for every season and holiday, filling her home with warmth and special touches throughout the year.

Nancy spent the final three years of her life at Christ the King Assisted Living, a place she truly considered home. She was incredibly blessed by a special community of caregivers and friends who embraced her like family. Among them was her very special friend, Karen, whose bond brought Nancy immense joy and comfort.

She is survived by 4 children; Sindy Simbeck and her husband George of Ridgway, Robin Brubaker and her husband Eric of Dubois, Judy Parolari and her husband Tom of Brockport, and Bob Trumbull and his wife Lisa of Sigel, 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and a son in law, Bob Dickey of Ridgway. She is also survived by a sister, Edna Cribbs of St. Marys, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Dickey, 8 siblings:  Art Merritt, Martha Chmielewski, Frank Merritt, Harry Merritt, Bernice Colson, Flora Carr, Daniel Merritt and Raymond Merritt in infancy.

Funeral Services for Nancy J. Trumbull will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, PA, 15853, with Rev. Ron Burkett officiating.

Burial will follow at Brandy Camp Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday at Krise Funeral home from 9:30 AM until the time of services.
