Nancy H. Holmberg

Nancy H. Holmberg, 88, of Ridgway, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Elk Haven Nursing Home.

She was born on August 31, 1937, in Ridgway, a daughter of the late Harry and Nannie Nelson Peterson.

On November 7, 1959, she married the late Ronald L. Holmberg, who preceded her in death on October 8, 2012.

Nancy was a member of New Hope in Christ Church and a proud graduate of Ridgway High School Class of 1956. Throughout her life, she found her greatest joy in caring for children. Whether as a loving caregiver, a teacher's aide with the Ridgway School District, teaching childrens Sunday School, or simply spending time with family she cherished, she touched countless lives with her kindness, patience and nurturing spirit.

After many years of dedicated service, she retired from Erie Insurance, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment. In her free time, she enjoyed arts and crafts and could often be found happily coloring, a pastime that reflected her creative and gentle nature. Nancy will be remembered for her warm heart, her unwavering devotion to others, and the love she shared so freely with family, friends, and the many children whose lives she helped shape. Her kindness and caring spirit will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

She is survived by four children: Renee Morales and her husband Jose of Sicklerville, NJ, Brian Holmberg and his wife Bernadette of Grafton, WV, Sherry Wall and her husband Donald of Ridgway, and Eric Holmberg and his wife Jodie of Smethport, by her ten beloved grandchildren: Teala, Jose Jr., Christopher, Nathan, Kylee, Hunter, Owen, Macy, Mya and Grant, and 5 great grandchildren: Sophia, Mckinlee, Solomon, Caspian, and Noah. She is also survived by 3 siblings: Helen Brady of Wisconsin, Karen (Rod) Miller of Texas and Harry (Joanie) Peterson of Ridgway, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to husband and parents, she was proceeded in death by a son, Bradley Holmberg, and a sister, Elaine Pierce.

Funeral Services for Nancy H. Holmberg will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center St., Ridgway, PA 15853, with Rev. Paul McCurdy officiating.

Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Ridgway, PA.

Visitation will be held on Saturday at Krise Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to the time of service.
