Melvin F. Fuenffinger
, 85, of 1325 Glen Hazel Road, St. Marys, died on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at Penn Highlands DuBois following a lengthy illness.
He was born on May 18, 1930, in St. Marys, a son of the late Louis and Irene Rigard Fuenffinger.
On May 17, 1952 in Ridgway, he married Emma Smouse Fuenffinger, who survives.
Melvin was a lifelong resident of St. Marys and a member of St. Marys Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Korean War. He retired from Stackpole Carbon Company after more than 45 years of service. He was a member of the Sportsmen's Club and the American Legion. He was an avid hunter who enjoyed hunting and serving as a guide at the North Fork Lodge.
In addition to his wife, Emma Smouse Fuenffinger, he is survived by two daughers, Darlene Fuenffinger of St. Marys and Debra (Neal) Shaffer, of Elderton, PA. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and a brother, Robert Fuenffinger of Emporium.

A Funeral Service for Melvin F. Fuenffinger will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015, at 11:00 AM at Lynch-Green Funeral Home.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
Interment will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Military Honors will be accorded by the St. Marys Servicemen's Burial Detail.
