Mary M. Pearsall

Mary M. Pearsall, 93, of Kersey, passed away on Sunday September 28, 2025, at Penn Highlands DuBois following a sudden illness.

She was born on July 8, 1932 in Ridgway, PA, a daughter of the late George and Melva Bundy Oknefski.

She was married to the late Arthur Wilson, he preceded her in death in 1978. She then married Arthur Pearsall, who preceded her in death in 2009.

Mary was a lifelong resident of the area and was born and raised on a farm, quitting school after the 8th grade to help her family with the daily life and many chores that come with running a farm. She worked as a nurse's aide for many years, and also spent time driving school bus. With a great love for the outdoors, Mary could often be found fishing or working around her home. With a great faith and love for the Lord, Mary enjoyed attending services at the Methodist Church. She was also a talented woodworker and loved creating gifts for her family. Most of all, she cherished her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by 5 children; Scott (Susan) Wilson of Port Allegany, Wade Wilson of Kersey, Colin (Jing) Wilson of Kersey, Brian (Renee) Wilson of Kersey, and Ginger Wilson of Kersey; and by her 16 beloved grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother; Russell (Marion) Oknefski of Ridgway, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her first and second husbands, Mary was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law; Laurie Wilson, a son-in-law; Timothy Scharf, a grandson in infancy; Thomas J. Wilson, a brother; Leo Oknefski, a sister in infancy; Lula Oknefski, and by two sisters; Artis Lunder and Hazel Softich.

Funeral and Committal Services are being held privately and at the convenience of the family.
