Mary Jane Wingard, 66, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of Bucktail Road, St. Marys, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025.

She was born on December 8, 1958 in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Charles and Jane Mills O'Leary.

Mary Jane was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, and was a member of St. Marys Church. She had worked for a number of years at Elcam. She looked forward to volunteering at the Elk County Humane Society, where she was able to befriend many animals over the years. With a fiercely competitive side, Mary Jane never turned down the chance to play a good game of cards, especially Cinch. She enjoyed leisurely rides and outings with her husband, and together they'd visit family and friends and stop for a meal along the way. She also liked to go swimming, shopping, and loved the Steelers and country music. Mary Jane was a loving aunt and proud godmother to her niece, Maddie, and she loved when Maddie and her dog, Rudy, would come to visit or send pictures.

In addition to her husband Joe , she is survived by four siblings; Kathy Cunningham of St. Marys, Jack O'Leary of Clifton, VA, Michael (Cindy) O'Leary of Kersey, and Robert (Pam) O'Leary of St. Marys, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.

In addition to her parents, Mary Jane was preceded in death by her niece; Gelaine O'Leary.
