Lisa Marie Day, 57, of Ridgway, passed away unexpectedly at her home after a short illness, leaving behind a family who loved her deeply and will forever feel her absence.
Born and raised in Ridgway, Lisa spent most of her life in the community that shaped her, attending Ridgway High School. Lisa had a passion for cooking, football, and simply being with the people she loved. She found her greatest happiness in the ordinary moments-sharing meals, cheering on her favorite team, and spending time with family. Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be remembered always.
The people who defined Lisa's world were her beloved son, Sgt. Jesse Day, and his fiancée, Brie, who brought immeasurable joy and purpose to her life. She was also a proud and devoted grandmother to her two grandchildren, whose presence always brightened her days.
Lisa's life was forever shaped by the loving care of her Aunt Cora M. Mitchell, who raised her from the time she was just eight months old. Their bond was deep and enduring, and Lisa carried Aunt Cora's love and guidance with her always. She also held close the memory of her special cousin Donna Carlson, whose companionship meant so much to her.
In addition to her son Jesse, his fiancee Brie, and her two grandchildren, Lisa is survived by her siblings who loved her dearly; Julia Izbinski (Thomas) of Johnsonburg, step-brother; Matt Day (Brenda) of Toby, and half-sister; Margaret Close (Tim) of Ridgway. Each of them carries forward a piece of her heart.
She was preceded in death by her mother; Patricia Eckert (Charlie), her father; James Day, her step-sister; Lorra Olson, her half-brother; Patrick "Snip" Bush, and her cherished Aunt Cora and cousin Donna.
Lisa leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and family-one that will continue to live on in those who knew her best.
May she rest peacefully, surrounded once more by the loved ones who went before her.
