Linda L. Mawn

Linda L. Mawn, 79, of Center Street, passed away at Penn Highlands DuBois on Friday, May 8, 2026.

She was born on March 1, 1947, in Saint Marys, PA, a daughter of the late John and Dorothy Tucker Prechtl.

Linda dedicated many years of her life working for Buehler Lumber and for Help Mates, where she was known for her strong work ethic and kind heart. In her free time, she found joy in crocheting, playing cards with friends and loved ones, and most importantly, spending time with her family. She cherished every moment shared with those she loved and created countless memories that will be treasured forever. Her warmth, laughter, and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Linda is survived by five children; Mary Silk of St. Marys, Richard Mawn of Ridgway, Pat (Stacy) Mawn of St. Marys, Scott (Glenda Chamberlin) Mawn of St. Marys, and Shawn Mawn of Eldred, and by her twelve beloved grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister; Beverly Rittenhauser, of FL.

 In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by two brothers; Merle Prechtl and Bill Prechtl.

A Funeral Service for Linda L. Mawn will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael Street, with Pastor Missy Smith as celebrant.

Burial will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Ridgway, Pennsylvania.

Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
