Kathryn M. "Katie"Kilhoffer, 95, of St. Marys, passed away peacefully at Elk Haven Nursing Home on Friday, August 21, 2026.

She was born on March 15, 1931 in St. Marys, PA, a daughter of the late Flavius and Elizabeth Grotzinger Wicks.

On June 27, 1953, she married the late Bernard "Bernie" Kilhoffer, who preceded her in death on August 16, 2014. Together they shared more than 61 years of love and laughter.

Katie was a graduate of Central High School and a faithful member of Queen of the World Church. She retired from IPM after many years of dedicated service. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and traveling, always appreciating the opportunity to see new places and make special memories along the way. She especially looked forward to trips to the casino, where she loved trying her luck playing bingo. She also enjoyed going to dances and spending time in the company of others. Her many interests brought her much happiness throughout her life, and the memories she made along the way will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved her.

She is survived by three children, Catherine "Cathy" Nesbitt and her husband Keith "Duke", of St. Marys, Bernard "Butch" Kilhoffer of Ridgway, and Richard "Rick" Kilhoffer and his wife Ellie of Ridgway and by six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and by one great-great grandchild.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three siblings; John Wicks, Flavius Wicks, and Mary Samick.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Kathryn M. Kilhoffer will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Queen of the World Church, 134 Queens Road, St. Marys, PA 15857 with Fr. Jeffery Noble, Pastor, as celebrant.

Burial will follow in St. Leo's Cemetery in Ridgway.

Family and friends will be received at the Queen of the World Church on Wednesday, August 26, 2026 from 9:30 AM until the time of the Mass.


Memorial Contributions may be made to the Elk Haven Nursing Home Activities Fund.
