Karen A. Lenze, 76, of St. Marys, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 2, 2025.
She was born on May 24, 1949 in Olean, NY, a daughter of the late Creighton Anders and Shirley Kessler Mulkin.
Karen worked for St. Mary's Carbon Factory, St. Mary's Pharmacy and owned a bar, The Outdoor Inn, in Kersey, PA.
She enjoyed traveling, listening to music, shopping, and dining out with her family and friends. Holidays were her favorite as she gathered together with her family.
Collecting butterflies was a passion of hers. Cardinals were her favorite bird, reminding her of someone who had past, sending her a message. Karen had a love for rescuing dogs and welcoming them to their new family in her home.
Her avid enthusiasm of sports fell partial to Pittsburgh, as she cheered on the Pirates and Steelers.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Saint Mary's Senior Center and Good Shepard/First Lutheran Church, where she would gather with friends and family to share faith and a meal together.
She is survived by one daughter; Jeannette Drnevich and her husband Chris of Cape May Courthouse, NJ, by three grandchildren; Jeremy Catalone, Christopher and Paige Drnevich, and by five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three step-children; Brian Lenze, Beth Walsh, and Shannon Lenze, and by four siblings; Susan McGraw and her husband Scott, Bonnie Morse, Mark Anders, and Kerry Mulkin.
In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her daughter; Michelle Catalone, and by a brother; Gary Anders.
Karen's favorite quote was the Serenity prayer - God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference.
A Memorial Service for Karen A. Lenze will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home with a reception in Friendship Hall to follow.
