Justin M. Geist

Justin M. Geist, 30, of 605 N. St. Marys Street, St. Marys, died on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at his home with his parents by his side.

He was born on February 23, 1984 in DuBois, PA, son of Penny (VanAlstine) and Dennis Geist, who survive.

Justin was a lifelong resident of the area and graduated from SMAHS, class of 2002, where he was in the top 20 in his class as well as a member of the National Honor Society.  He enjoyed hanging out at the former Hobby Shop with his friends.  He also enjoyed reading and spending time on his computer.  Justin was very bright and had a knack for always knowing the questions on Jeopardy.  He also enjoyed attending the Muscular Dystrophy camp in the summers.

In addition to his parents, Dennis and Penny Geist, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Jean Kronenwetter; his maternal grandfather, James VanAlstine, both of St. Marys, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Inez VanAlstine, his paternal grandfather, Richard Geist and his step-grandfather, Don Kronenwetter.

Funeral Services for Justin M. Geist will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys, PA 15857 with the Rev. Tim Hoover, officiating.

Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Ridgway, PA.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Lynch-Green Funeral Home.
