Julia R. Hackett, 67, of St. Marys, passed away at her home on Monday, May 19, 2025, following a lengthy illness.

She was born on April 7, 1958 in St. Marys, PA, a daughter of the late James Dornish and Helen Samick Dornish Beck Fredrickson.

On May 5, 1984, in St. Marys, she married John C. Hackett, who survives. Together they shared more than 41 years of love, laughter, and marriage.

Julie was a member of the Elk Baptist Church and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, class of 1977. Over the years, Julie worked at Windfall Products and as a nurse's aide at Elk Haven Nursing Home, tending to the residents with care and compassion. In her free time, Julie loved sewing and crafting. She also enjoyed planting and tending to her flowers.

In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by one daughter; Stephanie (Brian) Nock of Pittsburgh. She is also survived by two sisters; Pam Sorg and Janine (Ralph) Kneidel, both of St. Marys, and by one brother; Toby Dornish of New Castle. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by numerous siblings.

Funeral and committal services for Julia R. Hackett are being held privately and at the convenience of the family.
