Jeanette T. Yonker

Jeanette T. "Janet" Yonker , 89, of 155 W. Mill Street, Ridgway, died on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at her home.

She was born on Wednesday, November 18, 1925, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Clara Young Neubert.

On July 30, 1960 in St. Benedict's in Daguscahonda, she married Paul Yonker, who survives.

Janet was a lifelong resident of the area and was a member of St. Benedict's Church in Daguscahonda and then a member of the St. Marys Church.  She worked for a short time at Quality Components and at Stackpole.  She then worked as a housekeeper and cook for Andrew Kaul III for more than 30 years.  She enjoyed crafts and ceramics and was an excellent seamstress.  She also enjoyed cooking, baking and years ago she enjoyed bowling.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and was an avid Steelers fan.

In addition to her husband of more than 54 years, Paul Yonker, she is survived by a son, Joseph (Sue) Neubert of Ridgway, 2 granddaughters, Stephanie Schieferdecker of Maryland and Brittanei Neubert of Ridgway, 3 great grandchildren, Bobby, Shelby and Daniel, and by a brother, Wilfred Neubert of Brockway as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, James, Leroy, Charles and Michael Neubert, and by 3 sisters, Dolores Smithbauer, Rita Wolff and Norma Woodard.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Jeanette T. "Janet" Yonker will be celebrated on Saturday, January 3, 2015, at 10:00 AM at St. Marys Church, Church Street, St. Marys, PA 15857  with Rev. Alfred Patterson, OSB, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Leo's Cemetery in Ridgway.
There will be no visitation.
