Jack K. Cyphert Jr., of Ridgway, passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Penn Highlands Dubois following a lengthy illness.

He was born on May 19, 1954, in Ridgway, the son of the late Jack K. and Betty Johnson Cyphert.

On May 2, 1987, at St. Agnes Episcopal Church, he married Mary Ann Young, who survives.

Jack was a proud and active member of Grace Episcopal Church, where he found a sense of purpose and fellowship that enriched his life and the lives of those around him. His passion for community service was further demonstrated through his steadfast involvement with the Elk County Democratic Party, where he worked tirelessly to promote progressive values and uplift the voices of others.

After 39 dedicated years at Domtar, Jack retired in 2016 and spent his time working in the gardening and collecting elephants. Above all, Jack was a proud grandfather who relished every moment spent with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of nearly 40 years, he is survived by his triplets; Beth Ann Rickard and her husband Kyle, David Cyphert, and Ryan Cyphert, all of Ridgway, and 2 grandchildren, Mason and Lilly. He is also survived by a sister, Jacqueline "Jill" Cyphert (Norb Rupprecht) of St. Marys, and a brother-in-law, Marcus (Ester) Young of St. Marys.

A Funeral Service for Jack K. Cyphert Jr. will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM at Grace Episcopal Church, 216 Center Street, Ridgway, PA, 15853, with Fr. Tim Dyer officiating.

Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Krise Funeral Home, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, PA 15853, from 5:00 PM till 7:00 PM.

Though Jack faced his own health challenges, including his place on the transplant list for a kidney, he dedicated his last moments to the noble act of giving. It is a testament to his selfless nature that he chose to become an organ donor following his death, thereby granting others the gift of life and hope.
