Hesikaya Hays

Hesikaya Hays, 15, died unexpectedly on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at her residence in Erie.

She was born on September 3, 2010, in Indiana, PA, a daughter of Derek Catchot and Vanessa Hays.

Kaya was a bright spirit whose love for art defined her youthful life. She could often be found with a sketchbook in hand, capturing the beauty of the world through her drawings. Her creativity and passion for art were matched only by her love for all animals, especially horses, which brought her immense joy.

In addition to her parents, she survives by her siblings, Lillian and Jacob Hays of West Finley, and her loving grandparents, John Hays and Robin Hays, and John Catchot, Jr.

A Memorial Service for Hesikaya will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM at The Bible Training Center, 657 Evergreen Drive, Ridgway, PA, 15853, with Pastor Ron Burkett officiating.
