60, of 711 Vine Road, St. Marys, died on Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys following a lengthy illness.
He was born January 13, 1951 in St. Marys, a son of the late Herman J. and Anna B. Eckert Smith
Mr. Smith was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Queen of the World Church, where he had also served for many years as an usher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam War. He retired from Alltel after more than 37 years of service and was a member of the Campowner's. He enjoyed hunting, i
