Helen C. Parisi, 78, of Kersey, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, October 6, 2026.
She was born on December 21, 1947 in St. Marys, PA, a daughter of the late John and Anna Heindl Fleming.
On October 24, 1975, she married the late Louis Parisi, who preceded her in death on November 19, 2021. Together they shared more than 46 years of marriage.
Helen was a faithful member of St. Boniface Church and a 1965 graduate of Elk County Christian High School. She retired from Keystone after many years of dedicated service. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found great comfort in prayer and treasured her collection of rosaries. Helen had a special place in her heart for animals, especially cats, and her beloved cat, Clark, was a favorite companion. She enjoyed going to lunch with her friends, spending time with her family, and especially looked forward to hosting her family each Christmas Eve, a tradition that brought her great joy. Helen loved a good thrift-store find, listening to Neil Diamond, and settling in to watch her favorite game shows and crime shows. A bit of a hippie at heart, she loved peace signs, had a style all her own, and could often be found wearing her favorite color-black. Above all, Helen will be remembered for her deep faith, her love for her family and animals, and the unique spirit that made her unmistakably herself.
Helen is survived by several beloved nieces and nephews who took great care of her and were very special to Helen, including Lisa (John) Snelick of Canal Fulton, OH, Tracy (Rich) Ross of Ridgway, Bob (Laurie) Taylor of St. Marys, Todd (Kim) Taylor of St. Marys, Troy (Becki) Taylor of St. Marys, and Ryan (Kim) Swackhammer of Kersey, as well as by numerous great nieces and nephews whom she cherished immensely. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law; Ida Canton of Kersey and Roseanne Goblieski of Florida.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Helen was preceded in death by her beloved sister; Lynda Taylor, and by her step-son; Retired Sergeant Major Todd Parisi.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Helen C. Parisi will be celebrated on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at 10:00 AM at St. Boniface Church, 355 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846 with Fr. Christopher Beran, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received at the St. Boniface Church on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 from 9:15 AM until the time of the mass.
