Harvey W. Himes

Harvey W. Himes, 66, of St. Marys, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at his residence.

He was born on December 22, 1959, in Bradford, a son of the late Bernard and Julia Rider Himes.

Harvey was known for his outgoing personality in his younger years and his love of the outdoors. He found great happiness hunting, taking drives in his pickup truck, listening to music, and, above all, riding horses. Some of his fondest memories were made on the family farm, where he loved spending time with those he cared about, riding his horse, and climbing aboard a tractor to help around the farm.

As the years went by and Harvey made a home of his own, his generous heart became one of his defining qualities. He especially enjoyed spoiling his nieces and nephews, always looking for ways to make them smile. Whether it was buying them a special gift or simply taking them for a ride in his pickup truck when money was tight, Harvey's greatest joy came from spending time with his family and creating memories they would cherish for years to come. His kindness, gentle spirit, and deep love for his family will be remembered by all who knew him

Harvey is survived by multiple nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Rose Clark and Alberta Short, and a brother, Sydney Himes.

A Graveside Service for Harvey W. Himes will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026 at 2:00 PM Boone Mountain Cemetery, 1647 Mountain Church Road, Brockport, PA 15823.
