Edmund Kucenski

Dec 30, 1938 — Jun 25, 2026

Edmund J. Kucenski, 87, of Ridgway, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Penn Highlands Dubois.

He was born on December 30, 1938, in Ridgway, a son of the late Alex and Gladys Zameroski Kucenski.

He was first united in marriage to his beloved wife, Rosann Raspatello, on October 20, 1962, and they shared a lifetime of love until her passing on July 22, 2003. He later found companionship and love again, marrying Patricia Keating DeVallance on June 11, 2005.

Ed was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent 35 years at Quality Components before later driving a box truck. Outside of work, he embraced life with enthusiasm and a competitive spirit. He enjoyed all sports, especially golfing, bowling, and pitching horseshoes, and he never passed up an opportunity for a little friendly competition. A devoted fan throughout his life, Ed faithfully cheered on the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Detroit Lions throughout every season. He was also a proud member of the Moose Lodge and the Knights of Columbus, where he valued the friendships and fellowship he shared. Ed will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of sports, his sense of camaraderie, his "Eddie-isms" and the many memories he created with family and friends.

In addition to his wife of 21 years, he is survived by 3 sons; Daniel (Jen Hicks) Kucenski of Dubois, David (Lynne) Kucenski of Ridgway, and Donald (Cynthia) Kucenski of Waterford, 2 stepchildren, Kimberly (Norm) Caron of St. Louis, MO, and David (Liz) DeVallance of Lock Haven, 13 grandchildren; Elyssa, Katy, Megan, Sara, Leah, Joe, Holly, Matt, Abbey, Olivia, Emily, Spenser, and Delaney, and 20 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Barbara Reid of Bradford and Regina Debevec of Winchester, VA, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, Rosann, and his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Lewis, and a brother, Eugene Kucenski.
