Dolores J. Resch

Dolores J. Resch, 86, formerly of Million Dollar Highway, Kersey, PA passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Pinecrest Manor following a lengthy illness.

She was born on June 1, 1940, in St. Marys, a daughter of the late Francis and Magdalene Bille Selle.

On June 1, 1963, at St. Marys, she married the late Donald Resch, who preceded her in death on August 12, 2019. Together they shared more than 55 years of love, memories, and laughter.

Dolores was a woman who found happiness in the simple things in life-family, creativity, good country music, and time spent doing the things she loved. A graduate of Central High School, she had a lifelong love of crafting and was especially talented at ceramics. Some of her fondest times were spent going to the convent with the Benedictine Sisters, where she enjoyed painting ceramics and sharing friendship and conversation along the way. She also had a love for horses and could often be found enjoying her favorite country music.

Above all else, she was a devoted mother and grandmother. She treasured her grandson and the time they shared together, and her family will remember her as a good mom who showed her love in countless everyday ways-including from the kitchen. She was known for making a great pie, the kind made with a little bit of skill and a whole lot of love.

She is survived by two children; Debbie Fritz and her husband Dan "Camel", of St. Marys, Donald "Butch" Resch and his wife Shelly of Kersey and by her one beloved grandson; Daniel Fritz. She is also survived by one sister; Marian Carr and one sister-in-law; Margie Resch of Kersey, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Dolores was preceded in death by one brother; Glenn Selle.

Funeral Services Dolores S. Resch will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home with Fr. Christopher Beran, officiating.

Burial will follow in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
