Dolores "Dolly" Buerk

September 30, 1938 — November 14, 2025

Dolores M. "Dolly" Buerk, 87, formerly of S. Michael Road, St. Marys, passed away on Friday, November 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.

She was born on September 30, 1938 in Rosemantown (Near Sykesville), PA, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Angelina Assalone Angeletti.

Dolly was a graduate of Sykesville High School and attended Queen of the World Church. She retired from St. Marys Carbon after more than 40 years of service. Following her retirement, with an enduring work ethic, she went on to work for another 18 years at Walmart. In her free time, Dolly enjoyed reading and getting together with the friends she made at Walmart, sharing books and stories alike for many years. With her friend group that was lovingly dubbed the "Golden Girls", they enjoyed taking trips to Salamanca, going to dinner, and traveling together. What brought Dolly the greatest joy and accomplishment in life was her role as "Bugga" to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She adored her family and loved nothing more than spending time with them.

Dolly is survived by one daughter; Darlene Floravit and her husband Ron of St. Marys, by her three beloved grandchildren; Matthew (Rachel) Floravit, David (Ashley) Floravit, and Andrew (Megan) Floravit, and by her eight great-grandchildren, whom she adored. She is also survived by four siblings; Olympia "Tippy" Angeletti of Sykesville, Genevieve Angeletti of Sykesville, Philip (Jane) Angeletti of Dubois, James Angeletti of Dubois, and by a sister in law; Kate Angeletti of Weedville, as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dolly was preceded in death by two brothers; Raymond Angeletti and Richard Angeletti.
