Catherine E. Urey
, 64, of 201 Elk Avenue, Johnsonburg, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Penn Highlands Elk.
She was born on July 11, 1949, a daughter of the late Charles Miller and Violet Rex Mowrey.
Cathy was a lifelong resident of the area and a graduate of Johnsonburg High School, class of 1968. She worked at Metaldyne for many years and also drove school bus for a number of years. She liked to hunt and she greatly enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.
She is survived by:
Daughter: Mary, Mrs. Steven "Swearbox" Zimmerman, Wilcox, PA
Son: Rich Geyer, Johnsonburg, PA
Son: Steven Simon, Johnsonburg, PA
4 Grandchildren: Brandee, Steven, Trevor and Austin
Brother: Bruce Mowrey and his wife Colleen, Johnsonburg, PA
Sister: Marcia, Mrs. Bill Mortell, Johnsonburg, PA
Numerous nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents and her step-father, Byron Mowrey, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Charles Miller.
A Memorial Service for Catherine E. Urey will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2014, at 11:00 AM at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael Street, St. Marys with Pastor Stephen Fair, officiating.
There will be no visitation.
Interment will be in McKean Memorial Park.
