Alice M. Taylor, 85, of St. Marys, passed away on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Elk Haven Nursing Home.
She was born on July 24, 1940 in St. Marys, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Dolores Hayes Bobenrieth.
On May 16, 1958, in Sacred Heart Church, she married the late Gerald Taylor, Sr. who preceded her in death in 1989.
Alice worked as a home health aide for many years and also worked in the activity department at Pinecrest Manor. She was a member of the St. Marys Moose. In her free time, she enjoyed playing bingo, Sunday drives and making various crafts. She also enjoyed word searches, a good game of Wheel of Fortune and Smoky and Amos. She also was fond of her late dachshunds. Most of all, she enjoyed making memories with her family, especially pizza dates with her granddaughter Tina.
She is survived by two sons; Gerald (Harriet) Taylor, Jr., and Joseph Taylor both of St. Marys, and by four grandchildren; Tina Taylor of Johnsonburg, Elaine (Rick) Gausman of Ridgway, Alice (Matt) McClain of St. Marys, and Joseph Bobenreith, Jr., of St. Marys, as well as by numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by ten siblings; Elizabeth Folmar of Delaware, Jane MacClenny of Florida, Susan Berlin of Brockport, Patricia Stevens of Mississippi, Judith Smith of North Carolina, Ann Marie (John) Searle of Clearfield, Helen (Kurt) Weihe of Texas, Doris (Ciro) Adames of Texas, Richard (Kathleen) Bobenrieth of Ridgway, and David (Cindy) Bobenrieth of St. Marys, by two sisters-in-law; Darlene Bobenrieth and Patty Bobenrieth, both of St. Marys, numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Alice was preceded in death by one son; James Taylor, five brothers; Paul, Joseph, Jr., Andrew, Robert, and John Bobenrieth, a sister; Mary Ellen "Dee Dee" DePrater, as well as by a sister in infancy; Mary.
A Graveside Service for Alice M. Taylor will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 12:00 PM, at Wardville United Methodist Cemetery, State Road, Johnsonburg, PA, 15845.
Memorial Contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
