Alice Leonard

Alice J. Leonard, 87, of Ridgway, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Elk Haven Nursing Home.

She was born on May 22, 1938, in Ridgway, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Minnie Pearson Oknefski.

On September 24, 1960, she married the late Anthony E. Leonard, who preceded her in death on April 11, 2010.

Alice will always be remembered for generosity and wanting to cook for everyone who entered her house. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting her.

She is survived by a daughter, Caroline Wright and her husband Kevin of Virginia, a son, John Leonard and his wife Jackie of Kersey, 3 grandsons; Kyle (Jenna) Leonard of Ridgway, Cory Wright of Virginia, and Nathan (Cierra) Wright of Virginia, a granddaughter, Leah (Thomas) Lythgoe of Virginia, a great granddaughter, Brook Lythgoe, and a great grandson, Ezra Wright. She is also survived by 2 godchildren; Kristen Kent of Michigan and Lisa Box of Harrisburg, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 6 brothers: Robert, Harry, Frederick, Kenneth, John in infancy, and Walter Oknefski, and 4 sisters: Phyllis Bjorkquist, Caroline Okneski in infancy, Eunice Steis, and Lois Oknefski.

A Memorial Service for Alice J. Leonard will be held at a later date.
